saye dapat tau, user yg pakai dial-up leh buat sambungan 2 modem 56k, speed dia bole sampai 112k. member saya pun penah cuba & speed dia 100+k. tetapi kite kena bayar double ntuk penggunaan internet, bagi saya. penggunaan broadband lebih murah. unlimited xs sahaja baru rm88 & akan dikurangkan ke rm66 (without modem) baru2 nie saye terbaca satu article pasal wi-fi yg mana 2.4Ghz frekuensi lebih laju dari LAN. So saya cadangkan la supaya Kolej kita buka satu wireless access point. Saya rasa bajet dia x la berapa tinggi pasal kolej kite skang ni pun pakai ISDN yg slow lagi mahal tuh

salam,
hi abang, semakin maju skrg ni!
yea actually, wakil TMnet ingin mengadakan demonstrasi HOTSPOT ni KIA ini. walaupun facilities tu free, tapi kita memikirkan bahawa tidak ramai penggunanya nanti. almaklumlah hotspot memerlukan perkakasan tanpa wayar spt penggunaan bluetooth. jadi mungkin tak ramai yang ada. dan kalau tak ramai yang boleh guna then prepaid card (internet) x laku. then susah lah TMNET.
tapi takpe, kita cuba nanti. tapi personally saya lagi suka kalau ada AP (access point) kat kolej ni. banyak benda boleh students blajar. dan tak kurang juga semakin hangat lah forum IIC dengan benda2 yang mengarut.
terima kasih di atas informasi anda

Whatever is fast is good from networking point of view regardless of being wired or wired-less.
But on the practical side, the wireless access point will only come into picture when we move out from this compact-disk-campus, which should be just around the corner.

dual modem //kalo guna dial up mmg bole.2 phone line+2 modems.1 account da cukop.kalau guna streamyx Xdsl, aku blom buat lagi, andaian aku tak jadi sbb guna router, unless kalau guna 2 lines, with 2 router.dial up line mmg terhadp 56.tapi bila xdsl, guna WAN, ada 10/100/100 mbps, depends on the networking stuff specs.kalo WAN laju, mmg laju la.
hotspot in IIC. //the most practically network environment is wifi(currently, coz it's the latest network design).AP set mmg tade maslah sbb masi murah, yg parah ialah ordinary user yg perlu beli wifi nic, tak semurah nic biasa.
chief ckp, buat 'gambo'.i dont think so.kalo network tu jaga elok2, tade masalah.namanyapon wireless.cable pon tak berselerak sgt mcm dlm lab sekarang, takyah tebuk dinding and etc.kalau ada pon, sikit sahaja utuk ke telco extention.bukan bajet kita.
ma 2 cents

tade hotspot pon tak kesah la.janji lb ada network, internet jalan.cam sekarang nih, nak belajar comp pon susah, net tak jalan.software plak limited, dlm buku teks memacam tulis, baca je la.
"ko pernah masuk web ni?" "tak pernah, tapi aku tau la psal web tu, sbb aku baca buku."
