Al Quran Made of Chocolate?
Recently, as being reported in the newspaper, as a celebration of Ramadan, a group of chefs in Hyatt Regency, Jakarta had created a gigantic replica of Al Quran (completed with verses) made of kilos of white chocolate. The replica is placed in front of a lobby for the whole month of Ramadan.
So, my muslim friends, what do you think of this? Is this appropriate? What if we eat it, nature calls and it end up in the toilet bowl? What if the non-muslim eat it? What if we touch it without wuduk? I would like to remind you that its complete verses written on it. Nice? Yes, its a delicate piece of artwork but still the question is, appropriate? I doubt it.......
I still believe that Al-Quran is to be read, to be understood and to be practiced. and no other......
p/s This article was sent to me by a friend..let's share our opinion about this matter.
